WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE RANGE FOR GORILLA EPOXY?
Gorilla Epoxy can be applied between 10°C to 37°C. Once cured, Gorilla Epoxy can hold strong between -23°C to 82°C.
WHAT CAN I USE AS A MIXING TRAY OR A STIR STICK?
When using epoxy, it is important that both parts, the resin and hardener, are mixed thoroughly. If the original mixing tray is no longer available, we recommend using a container that is of equal size. The underside of an aluminium beverage can work well, rather than an object that has a flat surface.
DO I NEED TO USE CLAMPS?
Yes, clamps are recommended for use during application to ensure the bond sets correctly. Apply and position glue within 5 minutes after mixing the resin and hardener. Once your project is set, clamp and leave undisturbed for 30 minutes.
WHY HAS MY EPOXY NOT SET?
Epoxies are made of two liquid components, a resin and a hardener. When the hardener and resin are mixed equally, the bond will be extremely strong and permanent. If the adhesive has not set it may be because the resin and hardener were not mixed in equal quantities – to ensure even distribution point tip upwards so the air bubble start to disperse and eliminate air by slowly pushing plunger until both resin and hardener are at the tip.
WILL GORILLA EPOXY BOND PLASTIC /RUBBER?
Gorilla Epoxy works well on many types of plastic (roughen surfaces prior to gluing), but is not recommended for use on PVC pipe, polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastic, or certain types of rubber with high oil or plasticiser content. If you would like more information on how Gorilla Epoxy bonds to specific substrates, please contact our technical team via the ‘Contact Us’ section on the website for assistance.
WHAT IS THE APPROXIMATE SHELF LIFE OF GORILLA EPOXY?
The approximate shelf life of Gorilla Epoxy is up to 2 years, unopened from date of manufacture. Once opened there is no standard time, it will be dependent on storage conditions and age of the product, up to 6/9 months is a good guideline. For optimum longevity of your Gorilla Epoxy, after each use pull back the plunger, clean the nozzle with a clean, dry cloth and replace the cap tightly.
HOW DO I REMOVE GORILLA EPOXY FROM MY SURFACE?
Wipe up as much Epoxy as possible with a dry cloth. Any remaining product/residue can be removed with soap and water, Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or acetone (as per manufacturer’s instructions). For cured/dried Epoxy use mechanical means such as scraping or sanding.
HOW DO I REMOVE GORILLA EPOXY FROM SKIN?
Wipe off as much Epoxy as possible with a dry cloth. When the majority of the Epoxy has been removed, wash skin thoroughly with soap and warm water.
IS GORILLA EPOXY FOOD SAFE?
Gorilla Glue products are not recommended for direct or indirect food contact and should not be considered food safe.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I THINK A HUMAN OR ANIMAL INGESTED GORILLA EPOXY?
For medical emergencies, seek medical assistance immediately. For medical emergencies only, call the Australian Poison Centre number: 13 11 26. For animal emergencies, contact a vet or animal specialist immediately.
